Frequently Asked Questions
We hope this page provides clear answers to any questions you have. If not, we invite your to give us a call at 952-368-4700
+ How much will each adjustment cost?
Every person and every case is different, so the cost of care depends on your individual needs and recommended treatment plan. After reviewing your health history, examination findings, and goals, our team will explain your options and any associated costs before care begins. We believe in keeping care clear, straightforward, and as affordable as possible.
+ Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we work with a variety of insurance plans. At your initial visit, please bring your photo ID and insurance card so our team can review your benefits and help you understand what to expect. We will discuss costs with you before moving forward with any recommended care.
+ How many visits will I need?
The number of visits varies from person to person. Your recommendations will depend on factors such as your health history, examination findings, goals, and how your body responds to care. After your evaluation, we will walk you through a personalized plan and explain why we are recommending it.
+ How long will my first visit take?
You can expect your first visit and evaluation to take approximately 45 to 60 minutes. This gives us enough time to learn about your health history, understand your concerns, complete the appropriate assessments, and answer your questions.
+ What are your office hours?
Monday: 10 AM–Noon and 3–6 PM Tuesday: 7–10 AM Wednesday: 10 AM–Noon and 3–6 PM Thursday: 7–10 AM and 3–5 PM
+ I have MRI/x-rays, should I bring them?
Yes. If you have previous MRI, X-ray, or other imaging studies, feel free to bring them with you. Our team can review relevant prior imaging as part of understanding your health history and determining whether any additional evaluation may be needed.
+ When will I get my first adjustment?
Every person and every case is different. Your first visit is primarily focused on understanding your health history, concerns, and examination findings. In many cases, we do not begin care during the first visit because we want time to thoroughly review your findings and determine the most appropriate approach.
Once we have gathered and reviewed the necessary information, we can discuss your recommendations and determine the next step.
+ I'm in a lot of pain! I was really hoping to get adjusted today?
We understand that when you are hurting, you may want relief as quickly as possible. However, we do not typically adjust during the first visit because we believe it is important to first understand what may be contributing to your symptoms.
Your health history and examination help us determine what type of care is appropriate and whether there are any reasons we should modify or avoid certain techniques. In some situations, same-day care may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
+ Will I need x-rays??
Not every patient needs X-rays. Whether imaging is recommended depends on your health history, symptoms, examination findings, and clinical needs.
When appropriate, X-rays can provide useful information about the structure and condition of the spine and help us better understand any factors that may affect your care. If imaging is recommended, we will explain why before moving forward.
+ I'm nervous, what should I expect?
It is completely normal to feel a little nervous, especially if chiropractic care is new to you or you have had a previous experience that made you uncomfortable.
At Discover Chiropractic, we take time to explain what we are doing before we do it. Our approach is specific, gentle, and tailored to the individual, and we want you to feel comfortable throughout the process. You are always welcome to ask questions, and we will make sure you understand each step before care begins.
